What is financial success

What would financial success look like to you? To some it’s millions in the bank to others it’s being able to live comfortably.

How do I define financial success?

To me financial success means being in total control of your finances. It also means being able to afford the things I’d like and it means being comfortable. It also means being able to rest my head on the pillow at night and not worry about where the next £ or $ is coming from. I used to think it meant having stashes of money to burn but now I’m learning this is not the case.

To be financial successful you carry a positive energy about you. You know that everything is well within your home. You don’t have to show it. By show it I mean buying gadgets and things you don’t really need. Don’t get me wrong, I love nice things, especially shoes. But it doesn’t have to be what shows that I’m financially successful.

Financial successful people help others.

A financial successful person helps other people, whether it’s in the form of offering a service, helping with information, teaching or simply giving of their time. It’s an attitude and a life style.. It takes a certain kind of person to be financially successful Take Oprah Winfrey for example. She is one of the financial successful people I know. She is also one of the most giving people I’ve watched on Television. Another example is Warren Buffett. He really inspires me to be a better person. Financially successful people understand that things don’t make them, they already are. They understand that no matter how much money they make, people will always come first.

How can you be financially successful at your level?

It doesn’t require big bucks to be a financially successful person. It’s the ability to be in total control of your finances and the ability to help others through it. I hope this makes sense as this is how I view financial success. Like I said before, when you can go to bed peacefully without fretting about where the next meal is coming from you are on your way. I watched a programme the other day about how it is said more families will go to bed hungry at night because of lack of money. There was a woman who didn’t feel Britain was in this situation. I understood exactly what she was trying to get across. There are people all over the world without the basics but there are people who could change the way they view their finances. Basically the presenter of this programme visited a family that received free meals. The Mother of three said she was struggling to make ends meet and that the free meals were a life saver. The mother wasn’t working which I could understand why there wasn’t enough money, but then the presenter pointed out some very important facts. This Mother had a flat screen television in her living room, an expensive pedigree dog that cost £15 per week to feed and an iPhone. Just to mention a few. Do you see what I’m trying to show? This woman could be more financially capable if she looked around her and noticed the money was spending on the things she didn’t need. To be financially successful is not measured by the amount of possessions you have. It is measured by the control you have over your finances and how you reach out and help others who genuinely need your help. And by help it doesn’t necessarily need to be money. I wish you all the success in the world.
